Our online learning short courses, webinars, seminars and other subscriber services are delivered by experienced Risk Managers who draw on their years of work in insurance and construction law to provide you with the practical assistance you need to navigate a complicated industry. Our Risk Managers review over 1500 consultancy agreements each year, giving them unmatched experience in industry expectations of construction professionals. They frequently present Risk Management seminars, informing and educating professionals on subjects such as claims trends and legislative developments. They stay on the front line of legal changes affecting construction professionals and use their knowledge to produce a growing library of informed Practice Guides on topics like building information modeling (BIM), safe design and limitation of liability clauses. From age-old pitfalls like delays, sub-consultant errors and indemnity clauses, to the emerging challenges of safe design and new technologies, our Risk Managers analyse the risks and provide plain English guidance for you and your staff.

Meet the team
Wendy Poulton
Wendy has been a Risk Manager since 2005, providing plain English advice on consultancy agreements, training consultants in risk management, and creating guidance materials on emerging challenges in the construction industry. She has lectured on insurance and risk management at RMIT and the University of Melbourne. Previously, Wendy was a solicitor in the Commercial and Insurance Litigation section of Hunt and Hunt. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1997, and completed a Masters in Construction Law in 2011.
Felicity Dixon

Felicity Dixon
Felicity holds Bachelors degrees in Economics (Social Sciences)(Hons) and Law from Sydney University and was admitted in 2007. Before joining Planned Cover at the start of 2014, Felicity worked in Sydney, Perth and London as a construction litigation lawyer and front end lawyer drafting construction contracts for a number of large construction, architectural and engineering practices. During her years in private practice she also gained experience in insurance, insolvency and personal injury. From this basis of business acumen and legal knowledge, Felicity is able to bring this unique skill set to her role as Risk Manager, to advise on the professional indemnity insurance risks and implications found within contracts as well as inform and present seminars that assist to educate professionals on these risks and how best to manage them.
Filomena Maffi

Filomena Maffi
Filomena holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Monash University and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2011.
Before joining informed by Planned Cover, Filomena practiced as a solicitor in Commercial Litigation at a Melbourne law firm where she was responsible for managing a broad variety of matters. She is also a director of a small development company in Melbourne.
In her role as Risk Manager with informed, Filomena draws on both her legal and construction experience to advise professionals on the key areas of risk in their practice.
Lisa Wastell-Anthony

Lisa Wastell-Anthony
Lisa started her legal career as a corporate property solicitor at Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) where she gained extensive experience in large scale development projects, acquisitions and disposals, legal due diligence, and commercial leasing.
In addition to her legal experience, Lisa has undertaken business development roles at Herbert Smith Freehills and Clayton Utz where she gained an in-depth understanding of government tendering. Lisa also lectures and mentors law students who are undertaking their practical legal training.
Her broad experience ensures that she can provide concise and commercial advice, as well as deliver tailored seminars. Lisa was admitted as a solicitor in 2009 and has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.
Stephanie Petreski

Stephanie Petreski
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) majoring in Finance, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong, and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales. She was admitted as a Lawyer in January 2020. Prior to joining informed by Planned Cover, Stephanie practiced in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Before moving into private practice, Stephanie worked at one of Australia’s leading financial advisory and accounting firms in a managerial role, where she was primarily responsible for managing the dispute resolution team, overseeing the risk management framework and partnering with business leaders to implement effective risk controls.
Johanna Lawlor

Johanna Lawlor
Johanna started her legal career in the director’s and officer’s liability litigation space at Clyde and Co and at Wotton + Kearney where she gained extensive experience in class actions and litigation generally. In addition to her legal experience, Johanna has worked in state and federal regulatory compliance at the University of Chicago, and has tutored a number of law units at Macquarie University over the past years.
She is able to utilise her insurance litigation experience as well as her educational experience to identify and minimise insurance risks for our clients as well as communicating these clearly.
Johanna was admitted as a solicitor in 2017 and has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Notre Dame, Western Australia.
