06/03/2025 – Webinar: Reform around construction – what consultants need to know

As the regulatory framework changes within the construction industry in Australia, it is vital for design consultants to understand what issues are at hand, and how best to navigate these.

We are delighted to have Bronwyn Weir, Director at Weir Legal Consulting and contributor to a number of reports issued to governments on building regulation. These include the Building Confidence Report (BCR) (2018) which remains influential in policy reform for the building sector. More recently Bronwyn has authored reports on the VBA, Building Product Regulation and she is currently completing a report for the NSW government on the Home Building Compensation Scheme.  With her 25 years of experience, Bronwyn will discuss recent reports on building regulatory issues, give a snapshot of proposed regulatory reforms in each state and territory, and provide insight into ways design practitioners can be aware and implement changes in order to comply and avoid risks.
