09/03/2022 – Webinar: Sustainability Retrospective

As society increasingly seeks to reduce its impact on the environment, sustainability has become an essential part of design. How can consultants respond to changing demands from clients seeking greener and more efficient buildings and anticipate developments in design standards?

Council House 2 and the Pixel Building in Melbourne, built in 2006 and 2010 respectively, were widely recognised for pushing boundaries in sustainable design. In this webinar, architects from the firms behind these buildings at the time, Biljana Lojanica from DeciBel Architecture and Stephen Webb from DesignInc will share their experiences over 10 years on including:

  • how applicable design standards, client expectations and briefing processes have changed;
  • opportunities and developments in sustainable design today;
  • post-occupancy evaluations and applying the learnings from early sustainable designs; and
  • what the industry-leading sustainable designs of tomorrow might look like.
